The Community Room
The Township Community Room is available to Portage Township residents ONLY for parties, reunions, meetings and other types of gatherings. There is no charge for the use of the community room, but there is a $250.00 cleaning fee deposit. Everyone is expected to clean up after themselves and leave the room neat and orderly and the deposit will be refunded. Deposits may be in the form of cash or check. Refunds will be mailed after the next Trustee meeting closest to the date of the gathering. Reservations for the room are on a first-come-first-served basis with priority given to activities benefiting the residents of Portage Township. For further information, call the township office at 419-732-3543 and leave your name, phone number and the date you are wanting. A mutual time to meet with a Trustee and sign the User Agreement will be agreed upon. The agreement lists the conditions and expectations for Community Room usage. Residents are encouraged to look over the form prior to signing. The trustee will bring the user agreement with them to sign. Keys will be given prior to the resident’s gathering.
